Louise Hume is Creative Assistant at Short Fuse.

She has written for various magazines, newspapers, music fanzines and short story anthologies, and has made a short film about ghosts at Brighton’s Royal Pavilion, which was also produced as a play at The Hawth Theatre in Crawley.  She has just completed her first novel, which is set in the 1980s music scene in Birmingham.

Tara GouldTara Gould is the Creative Director of Short Fuse and the Editor of the Short Fuse Stories web site. She founded Short Fuse in 2007 and has hosted it ever since.

She writes short fiction and plays, teaches creative writing, and also works as a writer/consultant for arts and theatre groups. She has won two awards for her short stories and has had two plays broadcast on BBC Radio four.  She is working on her first novel.

Short Fuse was set up in 2007 and its remit was to promote the short story and to provide a much needed space for local writers to read their work.
